Built on three commitments
Shai Construction is a general contractor based in Richmond Hill, providing construction services since 2017. The work covers both residential and commercial projects — general construction, complete home renovations, basement renovations, kitchen and cabinet installation, plumbing, HVAC installation and repair, swimming pool installation, landscaping, and other general contracting work, scaled to fit projects of any size.
Three things guide how every job runs: quality workmanship, on-time completion, and customer satisfaction — the standard the schedule, crew coordination, and quote process are built around, on every job whether it's a single-room repair or a full commercial build-out.

How we work
From first conversation to final walkthrough
Five stages, in the order the trades actually require them.
Consultation
Every project starts with a conversation about what you want done, the space or site involved, and any constraints — budget range, timeline, existing conditions. This is where we look at what's actually there before anything gets planned on paper.
Scope & Quote
From the consultation, the project gets defined into a specific scope: what's included, what materials or finishes are assumed, and what it costs. You get a quote based on that scope before any work is scheduled, so there's a clear reference point if anything changes later.
Permits & Scheduling
Where the project needs permit drawings, structural sign-off, or inspections tied to the Ontario Building Code, that paperwork gets started before demolition, not after. Once permits are in motion, the job gets scheduled — trades sequenced, materials ordered, a timeline set.
Build
Work proceeds in the sequence the trades require: structural first, then rough-ins, then finishes. Inspections happen at the stages the code requires them, and the schedule is managed to hold to the timeline set at the quote stage.
Walkthrough
When the work is done, we walk the finished space with you — checking it against the original scope, addressing anything that needs adjustment, and closing out permits and inspections where applicable.
